Road routes to Kermaux from Ferry ports

ViaMichelin is an excellent way of planning your route – from wherever you land in France – port or airport and provides you with distances, driving time, fuel costs, toll prices etc. There are several options as to how you travel – motorways or scenic routes avoiding tolls and a lot of other useful information.

Just key in your start location i.e. Cherbourg (area postcode 50100) and end location Kermaux 56500 (it may read on the map as Kermeaux). You can also plan your route from your address to the port. Click on the picture (left) or address below.

From ROSCOFF Ferry Port
  Area post code 29680

Distance approx. 110 miles/175km. Time 2hrs approx.

There are several ways to reach us from Roscoff – here’s one suggestion!

Take the D58 to MORLAIX, then take N12 to GUINGCAMP then D767 via CORLAY and MUR-DE-BRETAGNE to PONTIVY. Head for the CENTRE VILLE (town centre)

From the centre of Pontivy (a large car park called Place A. Briand) follow the D764 signposted to LOCMINE and VANNES up the hill crossing a small roundabout, passing a Toyota garage on your left. At a large roundabout follow the D764 towards Vannes/St Naizin. After approx half mile bear right on the D767 towards LOCMINE.

Another 3 miles will lead you to a slip road to Moustoir-Remungol and the D203a. At the roundabout turn right and go into the village past a bright yellow painted bar/cafe and follow the sign left to PLUMELIAU (8kms) and follow D203 to KERMAUX.

Entering the village you will see a small chapel on your left. further along, at a sharp left bend you will see a house named “EDEN” with red shutters and door ahead of you. Turn right into a lane, go past the post boxes and turn left at the sign The Longhouse – you have made it!

From St. MALO Ferry Port
  Area post code 35400

Distance approx. 100 miles. Time 2hrs approx.

Having tried three routes, I find this the easiest, shortest and fastest.

Leave St. Malo and follow signs towards RENNES on the N137 and then connect to the N176 towards DINAN/St. BRIEUC.

Approximateley 12 miles past the junction for Dinan take the exit for JUGON-LE-LACS onto the D792. Follow this route through Jugon-le-lacs, Plenee-Jugon, Collinee, St Gilles Du Mene and Plemet (at most of the towns you can follow the bypasses or go through the centre of them if you wish). At Plemet follow signs for LOUDEAC and connect to the N164.

Before reaching Loudeac you will take the D700 leading onto the D768 to PONTIVY. On the outskirts of Pontivy you take the ring road towards LORIENT/VANNES and come off at the second exit signed Vannes/St Naizin. Follow the route D764 for approx half a mile and bear right onto the D767 towards LOCMINE.

Another 3 miles will lead you to a slip road to Moustoir-Remungol and the D203a. At the roundabout turn right and go into the village past a bright yellow painted bar/cafe and follow the sign left to PLUMELIAU (8kms) and follow D203 to KERMAUX.
